Sporting Lagos’ head coach, Paul Offor, seems to be counting heavily on forward Junior Lokosa to secure three crucial points for his team when they face the Kano Pillars in their upcoming NPFL game.
Despite aiming for victory, Coach Paul Offor has outlined specific expectations for his star man should he find the back of the net, Footballrover reports.
“Score goals, but don’t celebrate,” was the instruction from the young gaffer, who will be coming into this game off a convincing 2-0 win over Kwara United.
Coach Offor and his army will be taking on the Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 27 tie at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Wednesday.
Lokosa, who previously excelled with Kano Pillars in 2017, will have the opportunity to face his former team yet again this season after netting a brace in the first round in Lagos.
Reflecting on Lokosa’s past success against his former clubs, Coach Offor has encouraged the player to maintain his scoring prowess while showing restraint in celebration, as seen in their previous encounter.
“I like the fact that you didn’t celebrate; you just score the goals and not celebrate. Hopefully he can do that again in Kano,” he told the club’s media.
Lokosa, who has netted four goals for Sporting Lagos this season, will now be aiming to boost his tally against his former team.
