Stanley Eguma, the head coach of Rivers United has praised his players for their outstanding performance against Wikki Tourist on Saturday.
According to the coach, the outcome of the match would definitely play a motivating part in psyching up his players and reassuring them that they can still win.
On matchday 12 of the 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League game decided at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Rivers State, the Port Harcourt team returned to winning ways with a dominant performance against Wikki Tourist.
The Pride of Rivers climbed to the top of the log with the victory, thanks to goals from Ebube Duru, Chijioke Akuneto, and Uche Onwuansanya.

Ishaq Kayode Rafiu, the NPFL’s leading goal scorer, was missing in action, but the return of capable hands – Theophilus Afelokai, Ali Malam Auwal, and Chiamaka Madu gave the fans plenty to rejoice about.
Coach Stanley Eguma, Rivers United’s technical manager, stressed the importance of his squad getting back on track during the post-match press conference.
“This result actually will play a motivational role is psyching my players up and to letting them know that yes they can still keep the winning streak,” he said.
On matchday 13, Rivers United will visit Abia Warriors in Okigwe.
