The club’s Chief Soccer Officer, Kurt Schmid, praised the new signing’s attributes and long-term potential:

— “We are excited to welcome Victor to Utah, another move we’ve been working on for some time,” said Schmid. “Victor’s speed, strength and intelligence in the box should allow him to fit into our attack.”

Olatunji boasts a strong resume, having scored 42 goals and provided 11 assists in 192 appearances across clubs in Austria, Cyprus, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.

With 20 goals and 7 assists in 93 games for Sparta Prague, he also made his mark in the UEFA Champions League, netting two goals in eight appearances.

He will now compete for the No. 9 role alongside fellow Nigerian striker Agada and Brazilian forward Rwan Cruz.

With the clock ticking on the regular season, RSK will look to Olatunji to bring goals, energy, and a spark of Champions League quality into their MLS playoff chase.
