Nigerian footballers are making headlines across the globe, and two rising stars—William Agada and Kparobo Arierhi—have once again stolen the spotlight and are proving their worth.

From the League Cup action in North America to top performances in Norway’s OBOS-ligaen, these talents are flying the flag high, Footballrover reports.
William Agada Inspires Real Salt Lake in League Cup Thriller
Agada has proven he’s no one-hit wonder. The 25-year-old forward scored again for Real Salt Lake in a dramatic League Cup group stage showdown against Club América.

The match at America First Field ended in a 2-2 draw, but Agada’s first-half goal helped RSL stay competitive before they triumphed 3-1 in the penalty shootout.
It was his second goal of the season and adds to an assist he’s already registered—showing consistency and importance to the team’s recent success.
Agada’s strike came after Diego Luna had opened the scoring for the hosts, with Brian Rodríguez equalising for the Mexican side.
The Nigerian then fired RSL back into the lead before halftime, but Club América equalised again deep into stoppage time, stretching the game to penalties.

In the penalty shootout, Club América converted only one of their four attempts, missing three, while Real Salt Lake scored three and missed just one.
Kparobo Arierhi Scores First Mjøndalen Goal in OBOS-Ligaen Win
Over in Norway, 18-year-old Nigerian striker Arierhi also made headlines, notching his first goal for Mjøndalen in a 2-0 home victory over Asane.
Starting the game with purpose, Arierhi opened the scoring just before halftime at the Isachsen Stadion, setting the tone for a dominant Mjøndalen performance.

His display lasted 68 minutes, during which he showed promise and poise beyond his age.
This marked his first goal in four appearances, a confidence boost that will likely earn him more minutes as the season progresses.
Jonas Bruusgaard later sealed the win, but it was Arierhi who laid the foundation for the team’s success as they snatched the win and all three points in the Obos-ligaen clash.
Both players will now be hoping to build on these standout displays as the season continues.
