While speaking with the team media, Tosan Blankson emphasised their readiness, following an intense five-month training regimen.
Blankson assured fans that his side has been well-prepared, and all that remains is the eagerly anticipated kickoff against Ibom Angels later tomorrow.
He emphasised the importance of mental toughness and teamwork, adding that football is a universal game; what matters is the team’s strength and mentality.
Tosan Blankson’s target: Super Six and more
Acknowledging the proud history of Rivers Angels, Tosan Blankson set a clear target for the new campaign.
“I’m aware of the club’s pedigree and winning tradition. My target is to qualify for the Super Six, and then we’ll take it from there,” Blankson revealed.
With a promise to deliver exciting football, he assured fans that his players would not only entertain but also secure victories.
“The girls will play good football, score goals, and deliver wins. They already have a winning mentality.”
Rivers Angels will face Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium on Wednesday at 4 pm, marking the beginning of an ambitious season under the new leadership of Tosan Blankson.
