It was another impressive performance from Nigerian forward Tenton Yenne in the Armenian Premier League, as he came off the bench to fire Ararat Armenia to a resounding 4-0 away victory over FC Gandzasar on Friday.

Despite starting on the bench, Tenton Yenne made an instant impact after replacing fellow Nigerian Mathew Gbomadu at halftime, Footballrover reports.

With Ararat Armenia already leading 1-0 thanks to an early strike from Armen Ambartsumyan, Yenne doubled the advantage in the 87th minute with a well-timed finish.

Just three minutes after Yenne’s first goal, Cameroonian striker Marius Noubissi added a third.

Yenne wasn’t done yet—he sealed the emphatic win in stoppage time with his second of the game, making it a memorable brace for the 24-year-old.

 

The brace took his season tally to 14 goals and four assists in 30 appearances—an impressive 18 goal contributions.

Eleven of those goals have come in the Armenian Premier League, with one each in the Conference League, Armenian Cup, and Super Cup.

By scoring against Gandzasar, Yenne became the all-time leading scorer for the team with 43 goals, overtaking Myaison Lima’s previous record of 41 goals.

The win marked Ararat Armenia’s sixth consecutive league victory and extended their unbeaten run to eight matches (seven wins, one draw).

That rich form has propelled them to second place in the Armenian Premier League table with 54 points—just 10 points behind leaders Noah.

Next up for Yenne and Ararat Armenia is a decisive second-leg clash in the Armenian Cup semifinal against Pyunik.

They’ll head into that tie with a comfortable 2-0 advantage from the first leg—and the red-hot form of Tenton Yenne could make all the difference once again.
