An entertaining Premier League match at the City Ground saw Taiwo Awoniyi play a crucial role, providing an assist that earned Nottingham Forest a valuable point in a 1-1 draw against Burnley.
Taiwo Awoniyi’s assist proved pivotal in securing a point for Steve Cooper’s men, while his compatriot Ola Aina delivered a strong performance for Nottingham Forest in the game.
The second half featured an impressive strike by Hudson-Odoi, which canceled out Amdouni’s precise first-half finish.
However, Burnley might feel a bit unlucky with the result after the final whistle.
Hudson-Odoi, who recently ended his 16-year stint with Chelsea, made a remarkable debut at the City Ground.
He received a long cross at the back post from Awoniyi, controlled it skillfully, and then curled a beautiful right-footed shot into the net off the right post.
Although there was a brief VAR check for a potential handball by Awoniyi, the goal ultimately stood.
Awoniyi displayed great composure as he brought down the high cross, shrugged off Gudmundsson tp set up Hudson-Odoi for a flawless finish.
Despite mutterings of a handball by the Forest striker, the referee Jones and VAR didn’t intervene.
Decisive ????️gain.

Foster appeared to have scored to make it 2-1, but VAR disallowed the goal, ruling that Berge had handled the ball while assisting the striker.
Adding to Foster’s woes, he was later sent off for a petulant swing at Yates.
Taiwo Awoniyi is having an impressive season, contributing to five goals in just five Premier League games for Forest, with three goals and two assists to his name.
Burnley secured their first point of the season in their fourth attempt since returning to the Premier League.
Next Saturday, Kompany’s side will host struggling Manchester United, while Forest, currently eighth in the table with seven points, face the daunting task of visiting Manchester City on the same day.
Both teams are set to take on the Manchester brothers in their upcoming league fixtures.
This promises more exciting football action in the near future.
