Following the completion of his medicals, Nigerian international Valentine Ozornwafor has officially signed with FC Sochaux-Montbéliard of Ligue 2 in France.
Ozornwafor made a season-long loan move to the French side with a buy out option from Royal Charleroi Sporting Club.
The former Enyimba defender was not given much time to establish himself at Turkish club Galatasaray, who chose to loan him to Almeria in Spain before making his contract permanent with Sporting Charleroi.
He transferred to Galatasaray after the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup and was promptly loaned to Almeria in LaLiga 2.

Last season, while on loan from Galatasaray to Sporting Charleroi, Ozornwafor appeared in seventeen league games, making sixteen starts, for a total of 1,399 minutes.
Sporting Charleroi used its option to buy the player at the end of the 2021–2022 season.
The 23-year-old joins the likes of Wilson Oruma, Brown Ideye, and Rabiu Afolabi as the fourth Nigerian to play for the two-time Ligue 1 champions.
Valentine Ozornwafor, who made his debut on June 4, 2021, in the Super Eagles’ 1-0 friendly loss to Cameroon, aspires to lead his new team in gaining promotion to the French top division.
The French outfit wrote on their official website;
“Valentine Ozornwafor, a 23-year-old left-handed central defender, joined the FCSM after passing the usual medical examination. The Nigeria International is on loan [with an option to buy] from the Royal Charleroi Sporting Club.”
