As Nantes and Lille managed to split the points at home as Simon Moses featured in his second match of the season for Nantes.
The Super Eagles winger – Simon Moses, was denied the match hero status after starting the season for FC Nantes with a bang in France.
The winger thought he has given Nantes the much-needed victory but were held to a 1-1 draw by Lille at home on Friday night in the French Ligue 1.

In the 25th minute of the fiercely contested game, Simon’s right-footed shot rocked the Lille post and came close to being the game’s first goal.
The forward won’t back down this time, as he gives the home team the lead three minutes later with another close-range right-footed shot that becomes his first of the campaign.

After making six recoveries, he also produced two chances, two crucial passes, and helped at the other end of the pitch. But despite his efforts, Nantes failed to grab all three points at the end of the final whistle.
Ismaily dos Santos, a substitute who came into the game shortly before the beginning of the second half, scored a late goal to prevent Nantes from earning their first victory of the season.
The 32-year-old Brazilian left-back tied the score 13 minutes from stoppage time to deny Moses Simon and his team the three points courtesy of a well-executed goal by the away team, who had been the stronger of the two teams in the second 45 minutes.

In the end, Nantes will consider themselves lucky for splitting the spoils and Moses will surely be pleased to have scored for the Canaries.
With one win and a draw, Lille moves to the top of the French Ligue 1 table with four points, while Simon Moses and his colleagues are in ninth place with two points.
