His close teammate Wasiu Alalade, also played a starring role, netting a brace to ensure a comfortable win for the home side in matchday seven.

Kwara United entered the game looking to bounce back from a narrow 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors in their previous outing, and they did just that.

Both teams battled for control until the 30th minute, when Alalade broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal.

Just eight minutes later, the 25-year-old forward doubled his tally, putting Kwara United in the driver’s seat with a two-goal lead.

In the 70th minute, the home side earned a penalty. Akeem Akanni’s initial effort was saved, but Abdulraheem was in the right place at the right time, smashing home the rebound to make it 3-0 and put the game beyond the Owena Whales.

Despite pushing for more goals, Kwara United settled for a dominant 3-0 result at the final whistle.

The victory moved the Harmony Boys to ninth place in the table with eight points.

They’ve only suffered two defeats this season, alongside two draws, and still have a game in hand against El-Kanemi Warriors.
