Oriental Derby – After a narrow defeat at the hands of Lobi Stars of Makurdi on Thursday, Enugu Rangers have made a triumphant return to winning ways in the Nigeria Premier League, and the celebration is unstoppable.

The atmosphere at Awka City Stadium was electrifying as the final whistle blew, with Kazeem Oguleye and Obaje Igboke leading Rangers International FC of Enugu back to the pinnacle of the Nigeria Premier Football League table.
During the 7th round match of the NPFL against Heartland of Owerri, Kazeem Oguleye made a game-changing impact by finding the back of the net in just three minutes into the first half, creating a noticeable gap between the two Oriental teams.
The veteran NPFL star, Obaje, increased the goal tally to two in the 53rd minute of the second half, securing a historic 2-0 home victory for Rangers.
The team held onto their two-goal advantage to secure all three crucial points.
With this impressive home victory, Rangers International FC of Enugu has reclaimed the top spot on the NPFL table with 13 points, displacing Remo Stars, who suffered a loss on the road.
In the second position is Shooting Stars of Ibadan, also with 13 points and a goal difference of plus two, while Remo Stars now occupy the third position with 12 points after their narrow defeat to Bendel Insurance.
The club couldn’t contain their excitement, taking to their social media page to say,

The Flying Antelopes will now be looking forward to their upcoming fixture against Katsina United on Sunday.
