The Rangers coach charged Stanley Eguma and his Rivers United players to maintain their upward trend and bring joy on the faces of all Nigeria League followers as they look set to represent the country in continental football.
“We urge them not to rest or relax on their `laurelsβ, but to continue with that positive energy putting smiles on the faces of all Nigeria League followers as they will represent in the Continent.” – coach Abdul Maikaba wrote.
The Port Harcourt team won the league just after Plateau United suffered a humbling 2-1 loss against Akwa United on matchday 35 in Uyo last weekend.
The Pride of Rivers will get matchday 36 underway with a visit from Kano Pillars this weekend, in an attempt to maintain their ten-point advantage atop the standings.
