Broja added another goal a minute later, marking his return from a knee injury and propelling Chelsea to 11th place in the Premier League.
Fulham struggled to create scoring opportunities, with their best chance coming in the second half when Sasa Lukic’s shot from inside the six-yard box was well saved by Robert Sanchez.
Mudryk had to be substituted at halftime due to a slight injury, but Pochettino remained optimistic about his availability for the upcoming match against Burnley on Saturday.
Pochettino praised Mudryk’s dedication and performance, emphasizing the importance of scoring goals and building confidence.
He highlighted Mudryk’s consistent presence in the starting lineup this season, suggesting that regular game time is bolstering the 22-year-old’s performance.
“He’s training hard, very well. Deserves to play. I’m happy as it’s crucial to score goals, be confident. He played because he deserved,” – Pochettino said.
Pochettino has been actively working on improving Mudryk’s confidence, even engaging in a crossbar challenge with the winger after training, and it appears to be yielding positive results.
If Mudryk can continue to perform at a high level, he will become a valuable asset to Chelsea. He has the potential to be one of the best wingers in the Premier League.
