Leo Messi and his teammates at PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) will no longer be led by Mauricio Pochettino as their head coach following his decision to part ways with the Ligue One winners.
Christophe Galtier, a former coach at Nice and Lyon, is anticipated to succeed them, the club announced on Tuesday.
Given the excellent work the Argentinean had previously performed at Tottenham, it was an appointment that delighted many and seemed to promise much.
But as things turned out, Pochettino merely joined a long list of elite managers who failed to help PSG achieve its ultimate objective: winning the Champions League.
To be honest, few people would have been shocked when Pochettino’s exit rumors started to circulate in June.
In actuality, he has appeared on the brink of failure for the most of his 18 months in office; some may even argue that he is fortunate to have survived this long.
It was anticipated that Christophe Galtier will be introduced as Paris Saint-next Germain’s head coach.
And of course, it has officially been confirmed that Christophe Galtier has been appointed as new PSG manager with contract set until June 2024.
“Campos’ presence was decisive. I accepted Paris Saint-Germain job with lot of humility but with great determination”. Galtier said.
