Chelsea star boy – Mason Mount has acknowledged that he is eager to experience the Todd Boehly era at Stamford Bridge as fast as possible.

This summer, Roman Abramovich sold the Blues to a group led by Boehly, ending his 19-year ownership of the team and ending the most prosperous stretch in Chelsea’s history.

Boehly is eager to begin this new era with a bang and has lined up a number of top transfer targets, including Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar, as well as Matthijs de Ligt and Raheem Sterling.

However, uncertainty surround these new signings as Chelsea fans are yet to know how many of those new recruits will really materialize, but Mason Mount anticipates the future nonetheless.

“It is a new era, so we all feel very excited and, whenever a new season comes around, you are excited about what’s possible. I can’t wait to see what happens.” – he told the Evening Standard.

The Chelsea team is gradually making its way back from its preseason vacation.

After being active with his international side this summer, Mount was one among those who received an extended rest.

“We’ve had a break now but we’ll see and we hope it is going to be a good year. I am feeling rested and ready to go.” – Mount added.
