Plateau United Football Club has introduced a thrilling new incentive, “Who’ll Be A Millionaire Challenge,” for its players ahead of the upcoming NPFL season.
The Home of Peace and Tourism team is set to ignite the upcoming season with this lucrative bonus for its players, Footballrover reports.
The club is offering a total bounty of N1.5 million to the top performers in the team, a reward for outstanding performance in the 2024-25 campaign.
The club’s general manager, Habila Mutla, announced a mouthwatering reward of N1 million for the first player to net 10 goals and N500,000 for the goalkeeper who keeps 10 clean sheets.
In a pre-season address to the team, Mutla emphasised the club’s high expectations for the new campaign and outlined the financial rewards for outstanding individual performances.
“The first player to score 10 goals and first goalkeeper with 10 clean sheets will be rewarded with N1 million and N500,000, respectively,” he told the players.
The initiative is aimed at boosting the Peace Boys’ morale and inspiring them to achieve new heights.
Recall that the Jos-based team had an impressive outing last season, where they finished in 5th place with 58 points, just four more shy of the top four.
The team recorded 18 victories and four draws but lost 16 games.
Plateau United will kick off the new NPFL season with a Derby match against Katsina United.
