Ankara Keciorengucu edged past their opponents – Altay in an intriguing encounter on Sunday, with Nigerian player – Ibrahim Olawoyin putting in an outstanding performance to help his side seal their win of the season.

Ibrahim Olawoyin displayed man-of-the-match performance to help Ankara Keciorengucu secure a convincing 3-1 win all three points over Altay in Turkish Division 1.

While the first half of the game was evenly matched, the away team swiftly grabbed a 1-0 lead courtesy to Hamza Gür, who had superb ball control and scored with a silky shot in the 23rd minute with Olawoyin Ibrahim’s help. The first half finished with this score.

The visitors kept up their impressive play in the second half before Kutay Yokuslu of Altay scored what appeared to be an own goal in the 56th minute to make it 2-0.

However, after considerable deliberation, Olawoyin Ibrahim was given the goal after he was found in the left side of the penalty area, struck the ball with his attempt, and the ball met the defense and straight into the net.

The hosts’ experienced attacker Marco Paixao later brought the score down to 2-1 in the 80th minute. However, Bekir Karadeniz’s goal for Ankara Keciorengucu one minute later sealed the victory.

With this outcome, Ankara Keçiörengücü earned their first victory of the season and boosted their point total to 4, while Altay once again completely failed to earn a point this week.

Ankara Keciorengucu are currently in 8th place with just 4 points from 3 games and their next game will be against Sakaryaspor at the Aktepe Stadium on Sunday.

While their hosts are down at the bottom of the table without a point and will be hoping to get the new campaign going when they face Adanaspor next.
