Ankara Keçiörengücü edged Manisa BBSK 2-1 in an intriguing encounter on Sunday, with two Nigerian players – Ibrahim Olawoyin and Emeka Eze – putting in outstanding performances.
In the TFF First League, the home team came from behind to win and take all three points from their visitors, with Ibrahim Olawoyin scoring the equalizer and Emeka Eze netting the winner.
Marvin Gakpa, a 28-year-old forward, placed the visitors ahead with a penalty kick 28 minutes into the game.
Their delight, however, was short-lived as Olawoyin equalized two minutes later before Emeka Eze clinched the victory eight minutes into stoppage time.
In 31 league appearances for Ankara Kg in Turkey Division 1, Ibrahim Olawoyin has eight goals and seven assists, while Emeka Eze has 14 goals and three assists in 28 league games
With the 2-1 victory and a game in hand, Ankara Keçiörengücü moves one point ahead of Manisa BBSK in ninth place with 47 points.
Having two games remaining in the season, Ankara Keçiörengücü will be seeking for further victories when they face Buyuksehir on Saturday, May 14.
