Cyriel Dessers scored two late goals to inspire Feyenoord earn a 2-2 draw against PSV during their Eredivisie game on Sunday.
Dessers grabbed a penalty and a spectacular header to help Feyenoord come from two goals down to clinch a hard-fought 2-2 draw against PSV Eindhoven.
Dutch winger – Cody Gakpo fired the visitors ahead 16 minutes in before doubling his tally 13 minutes later to give PSV a 2-0 lead before halftime.
The 27-year-old Super Eagles attacker then scored his first goal tn the 86th minute to bring Feyenoord back into the game, thanks to an assist from Luis Sinisterra.
PSV’s chances of winning the league were subsequently dashed when referee Serdar Gozubuyuk gave Feyenoord a penalty late into stoppage time.
Dessers took the penalty kick and scored, sending goalie Yvon Mvogo the opposite way.
His seventh and eighth league goals of the season, bringing his total to 19 in all competitions.
Dessers’ brace against PSV on Sunday also means the striker has now scored 100 goals in his career, during which he has played 246 games and assisted on 37 more.
The draw keeps Feyenoord in third place in the league with 68 points after 32 games, just seven points behind PSV in second and 11 points behind league leaders Ajax.

With only two games remaining, Arne Slot’s team will be hoping to get back on track when they face Go Ahead Eagles on Wednesday.
