The University of Pittsburghâs womenâs football team has officially secured the services of two talented players from Nigeriaâs National Womenâs Football League (NWFL).
The NWFL duo of Adaobi Judith Okah and Hannah Yusuf, both highly regarded for their performances in the female league, are set to make their mark on the Panthersâ squad, Footballrover reports.
But how will their arrival impact the team’s ambitions? Read on to find out.
Okah, who made her name at Remo Stars, and Yusuf, formerly of Confluence Queens, bring with them a wealth of experience from Nigeriaâs top league.

Okah has also spent time with Edo Queens, where she impressed with her solid game play.
Her international experience, having represented Nigeria at the U-17 and U-20 levels, also adds an advantage to her signing.
Yusuf, a seasoned player with stints at Rivers Angels and Nasarawa Amazons, has also been part of Nigeria’s youth teams, making her another strong addition to the squad.
These new signings will join a familiar face at the University of PittsburghâSuper Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun.
Abiodun, who joined the university early last year, has been a standout performer for the Panthers and will no doubt play a vital role in mentoring her new Nigerian teammates.
Recall that Abiodun was part of the U-20 Womenâs World Cup in Costa Rica, where she fought fiercely for her team before moving to Pittsburgh.
The inclusion of Okah and Yusuf aligns with the Pittsburgh Panthersâ broader strategy to strengthen their squad under the leadership of former Super Falcons head coach Randy Waldrum.
What could Waldrum, who extended his contract until 2027, possibly be cooking?
