It was an action-packed midweek in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2024/2025 season on Wednesday, as Round 7 fixtures delivered thrilling and unexpected results across the country.

Several standout performances were witnessed, with five players scoring braces and one netting a hat-trick, Footballrover reports.

Isaac Saviour of Rangers International FC, Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars FC, Ossy Martins of Lobi Stars FC, Ibrahim Mustapha of El-Kanemi Warriors FC, and Wasiu Alalade of Kwara United FC each bagged braces.

Meanwhile, Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United stole the show with a hat trick.

At the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu, Kano Pillars stunned the hosts, Rangers International, with a 4-3 victory.

NPFL Round 7: Pillars stun Rangers, Yusuf shines with hat-trick

Isaac Saviour scored twice for Rangers in the 46th and 60th minutes, while Rabiu Ali responded for Kano Pillars with goals in the 18th and 29th minutes.

In Makurdi, Ossy Martins struck in the 17th and 53rd minutes for Lobi Stars, while Ibrahim Mustapha found the back of the net in the 57th and 86th minutes for El-Kanemi Warriors, securing a hard-fought 2-2 draw at the Lafia City Stadium.

Later on at the same venue, Anas Yusuf’s hat-trick in the 55th, 58th, and 69th minutes powered Nasarawa United to a 3-0 triumph over Abia Warriors.

In Ilorin, Wasiu Alalade delivered a brace in the 30th and 37th minutes, leading Kwara United to a dominant 3-0 win over Sunshine Stars at the Kwara State Sports Complex.
