In a landmark decision by FIFA, 30 Nigerian referees have clinched coveted spots on the international lists for the upcoming year.

This resounding approval encompasses a diverse array of officiating talents, with 11 referees, 11 assistant referees, four beach soccer referees, and four futsal referees making the prestigious cut, Footballrover reports.

The Nigeria Football Federation received official communication from FIFA, revealing the esteemed 11 referees set to represent Nigeria on the global stage in 2024.

Among them are Basheer Salisu, Ogabor Odey Joseph, Olufunmilayo Abigael Alaba, Nurudeen Abubakar, Abdulsalam Kasimu Abiola, Elaigwe Hannah Enekole, Akintoye Yemisi Eunice, Egba Patrick John, Madu Ndidi Patience, Mustapha Grema Mohammed, and Abdullahi Abubakar.

FIFA’s approval also extended to a cohort of 11 assistant referees, each prepared to contribute their expertise at the international level.

Pwadutakam Samuel, Igudia Efosa Celestine, Abibatu Iyadunni, Muhammad Yakubu, Mfon Friday Akpan, Digbori Tejiri, Usman Abdulmajeed Olaide, Igho Hope Ogenekewe, Terah Kabenda Beauty, Ahmad Mustapha Tijjani, and Agbons Faith constitute this esteemed group.

The FIFA-endorsed futsal and beach soccer lists also feature outstanding Nigerian talents.

Ukah Ndubuisi Odigomma, Musa Dung Davou, Umuago Paul Akpome, and Bello Zuru Alhassan were designated for futsal, while Ogunmuyiwa Jelili, Fawole Olawale Adeolu, Olajide Olayinka, and Rabiu Ahmad were selected for beach soccer.
