In a match full of drama and momentum swings, German-born Nigerian defender Felix Agu made his mark once again in Werder Bremen’s thrilling 4-2 win over Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

Having suffered a frustrating 1-0 loss at home to Freiburg just days earlier, Werder Bremen arrived at Wolfsburg determined to return to winning ways.
Their persistence paid off, as Felix registered his second goal of the campaign, helping his team turn the tide after an early setback.
The 25-year-old struck in the 51st minute, putting Werder 2-1 ahead following an early equaliser from Mitchell Weiser.
After a slick attacking move from Bremen was initially blocked by the opposing goalkeeper, the defender pounced on the rebound and sent the ball crashing into the net, leaving Wolfsburg with no answer.

His goal helped swing the game in his team’s favour, setting the stage for Marvin Ducksch to add a third before Wolfsburg’s woes deepened with Patrick Wimmer’s 68th-minute red card.
Werder Bremen capitalised on their advantage, and despite Wolfsburg pulling one back, the visitors secured their third consecutive away win.
The result extended Bremen’s unbeaten away run to three games, placing them 8th on the Bundesliga table with 11 points.
Agu, who played 84 minutes before being substituted, continues to raise eyebrows, although his only international appearance remains for Germany’s U-21 squad and would be a solid catch for the Super Eagles.
Werder Bremen fans, however, will be hoping for more standout performances from the strong defender.
