Niger Tornadoes caretaker coach, Majin Mohammed, has issued a rallying cry to his players, calling for a decisive performance in a “mouthwatering” clash against Katsina United in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Tornadoes, currently facing a dip in form, will host the Chanji Boys at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium on Sunday, aiming to redeem their dwindling image and climb the league table, Footballrover reports.
Mohammed, while addressing the team after Friday’s training session, emphasised the importance of their current position as a reflection of their recent struggles.
He acknowledged the team’s initial struggles but praised their subsequent turnaround, urging them not to rest on their laurels and to maintain the positive momentum.
The Tornadoes coach went on to remind his players of their impressive victories against top teams like Rivers United, Kano Pillars, and Akwa United, stressing that the upcoming match wouldn’t be any different.
“The encounter against Katsina United is a mouthwatering one, just like other big games we’ve played this season,” he said.
He stressed that with the right approach and mindset, victory is assured.

The Tornadoes will be hoping to carry that winning spirit into Sunday’s clash, fueled by Mohammed’s strong belief and the team’s hunger for redemption.
This NPFL encounter promises to be a battle of contrasting fortunes.
The Niger Tornadoes, seeking to reignite their flagging campaign, will face a determined Katsina United side eager to improve their new-found winning formula.
With both teams harbouring ambitions of climbing the table and the stage, fans will surely be highly entertained in this mouthwatering NPFL clash at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium.
