The Bala Nikyu team has had a frustrating campaign, but have just succeeded in claiming their first victory of the season courtesy of goals from King Moses Osanga and Chinedu Ohanachom.

The first half of the encounter at the New Jos Township Stadium was decided by a goal from former junior international – King Osanga, who found back of the net in the early minutes.

Later on, Nasarawa United added to their lead when King Osanga split open the Kwara United defence and set up Chidera Nduka to put the ball in play for Chinedu Ohanachom, who scored the game-winning goal.

The Solid Miners had lost five of their NPFL games, grabbing a draw against Gombe United on match day four, before their outstanding victory over Kwara United.

After the game, Nasarawa United quickly became a motivational speaker, urging people not to give up hope since anything can happen in life.

The Lafia Boys claimed that they have been missing that sense of success and that they had no choice but to pick themselves up and keep going, which ultimately paid off for them.

How we’ve missed that feeling of victory, when you are down in life don’t be discouraged as life can happen to anyone. Dust yourself up and keep pushing.” – Nasarawa United wrote on their twitter page.

As they look forward to earn another three points to avoid relegation this season, they will face the NPFL Group A leader – Bendel Insurance, in a matchup that will undoubtedly be challenging.
