On Saturday afternoon, Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen scored an early goal and added an assist to lead his team to a comfortable Serie A victory over Sassuolo.
In Napoli’s 5-0 thrashing over Sassuolo, the Super Eagles star scored his seventh headed goal of the season in all competitions and his sixth in serie A.
He also added an assist minutes later to round out his outstanding effort in their home triumph.
Following a corner kick cross from Lorenzo Insigne, Kalidou Koulibaly put the hosts ahead with a thunderous header seven minutes into the game
Before Osimhen increased the advantage with another towering header in the 15th minute.
Four minutes later, the Super Eagles forward turned provider, setting up Hirving Lozano to make it 3-0.
Dries Mertens then added to Sassuolo’s woes with goals in the 21st and 54th minutes.
And just when you thought it was all over for Sassuolo, Amir Rrahmani added another goal in the 80th minute, completing the thrashing with a right-footed effort from the heart of the box to the bottom left corner.
Sassuolo scored a consolation goal barely three minutes into stoppage time, as Maxime Lopez made the score 6-1 in the 87th minute.
