Nigerian forward Muhamed Tijani wasted no time making an impact in the Czech First League, netting his first goal for Sigma Olomouc in their 2-1 victory over Slovan Liberec.

The 25-year-old, on loan from Slavia Prague, came off the bench and scored just three minutes into his debut to open his goal account for the club, Footballrover reports.

Tijani’s breakthrough came in the 65th minute after he was introduced in place of Daniel Vasulin.

With the game deadlocked at 0-0, the former Nigeria U20 striker showed sharp instincts to break the stalemate at the Andrův stadion, sending home fans into celebration.

It was the kind of entrance Tijani would have dreamed of following his recent loan move.

After joining Olomouc as part of a summer overhaul backed by new owners and sponsors, the Slavia Prague loanee is already proving to be a smart addition.

He is expected to play a major role in the club’s domestic campaign and Europa League qualifiers this season.

But Tijani wasn’t the only Nigerian lighting up the pitch. 19-year-old Soliu Afolabi came off the bench for Liberec and found the net with a calm finish seven minutes after his introduction.

His goal, however, wouldn’t have been possible without a moment of brilliance from fellow countryman Ahmad Ghali, who delivered a perfectly timed assist to level the score at 1-1.

The contest looked set for a draw until Jachym Sip rescued all three points for Sigma Olomouc with a dramatic 94th-minute winner.

With two wins and a draw from their opening three matches, Sigma Olomouc are off to a solid start—and so is Muhamed Tijani, who will be eager to build on this momentum as the season progresses.
