Nigerian forward Moses Usor delivered a man-of-the-match performance for LASK in their Austrian Bundesliga clash against Austria Wien, registering a goal and an assist, though it was not enough to secure all three points away from home.
Usor opened the scoring and later set up the goal that restored his side’s 2–1 advantage. However, LASK were ultimately held to a 2–2 draw at the Generali Arena, Footballrover reports.
Moses Usor Dazzles LASK Fans With Match-Winning Brilliance
The Round 21 encounter saw the 24-year-old take his season tally to eight goals, bringing his total goal contributions to 11 — with three assists in 20 appearances.
Despite losing a game-high 11 duels, Usor remained influential throughout and was replaced in the 74th minute by Maximilian Entrup.
The visitors made a bright start, with Usor firing them ahead in the 23rd minute to hand LASK a slender lead at the break.
Just two minutes into the second half, Austria Wien responded through Aleksandar Dragovic, who levelled the score at 1–1.
In the 73rd minute, Usor turned provider, setting up Christoph Lang to restore LASK’s lead.
But the hosts fought back once more, as Johannes Eggestein struck 10 minutes later to ensure the spoils were shared.
Following the result, LASK remain third in the standings on 34 points, having recorded 10 wins, seven defeats and four draws so far this season.
Nigerian Stars Abroad: Okoronkwo and Uchegbu Also Deliver Key Contributions
It was a productive outing for two other Nigerian stars abroad, as Jonathan Okoronkwo and Emmanuel Uchegbu both delivered standout performances for their respective clubs.
In the Turkish 1. Lig, Okoronkwo played the full 90 minutes and provided the decisive assist as Sivasspor secured a hard-fought 1–0 away victory over Serikspor.
His creativity proved crucial in breaking down a resilient home side, taking his tally to three goal contributions in 13 appearances — one goal and two assists.
Meanwhile, in the United States, Uchegbu opened his account for the season in style as Crown Legacy FC cruised to an emphatic 4–1 away win over Chattanooga FC in MLS Next Pro.
It was a memorable moment for the 21-year-old right winger, who marked his first match of the campaign with his first goal.
