34-year-old Nigerian forward – Abiola Dauda has expressed joy over his first goal of the season in Hero I-League as Mohammedan SC and Mumbai Kenkre Fc shared the spoils after a thrilling contest on Tuesday.
Courtesy of an assist from the former Red Star Belgrade striker – Abiola Dauda, Marcus Joseph’s sweet left footed strike from outside the box found back of the net to give the home side the lead just 10 minutes into the game.
Mohammedan SC continue to push numbers forward in search of a second goal at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan.
Unfortunately, it was the visitors who equalised a minute before the interval. Mumbai Kenkre equalised with their first shot on target.
Gaikwad managed to team up with Azza Noorani, who smashed his effort into the roof of the net to become their top scorer this season with 3 goals.
Action resumed for the second half and 15 minutes later, Mohammedan SC took the lead yet again.

But their celebration and lead didn’t last long before the visiting team equalised again in 76th minute of the encounter.
Noorani’s corner created chaos in the box and captain – Kiran Pandhare slots it in from close range to pull his side back into the game.
Mumbai Kenkre came from behind twice against their host to take a point from Kolkata.

Mohammedan SC dropped points at home for the first time this season as they were held to a 2-2 draw by a spirited Mumbai Kenkre fc side.
“Not the result we deserved tonight but Happy for my first of many league goals to come.. We move again in 3days.” – Abiola Dauda wrote on his twitter page.
Currently, Mohammedan SC rank 9th, while Kenkre FC hold 10th position as both side have just 7 points from seven games this season.
