Godwin Aguda celebrates Falkenbergs goal vs Sandvikens

Former NPFL star Godwin Aguda put out an impressive performance on Monday evening, inspiring his team Falkenbergs to a huge home win over Sandvikens in their Sweden Superettan game.

The 27-year-old forward scored the second goal of the encounter as Falkenbergs thrashed their visitors 4-0 at the Falcon Non-Alcoholic Arena, Footballrover reports.

Godwin Aguda Inspires Falkenbergs’ Dominant Win

The former Rivers United star, who has featured in all games this season, delivered his third goal of the campaign and added an assist to his tally.

Falkenbergs wasted no time stamping their authority on the match. Just four minutes in, Albin Andersson got the ball rolling with a sharp finish to make it 1–0.

The early dominance continued, and by the 11th minute, Godwin Aguda had doubled the lead, leaving Sandvikens chasing shadows.

The visitors held on for a while, but their resistance eventually crumbled. In the 81st minute, Van der Laan turned the ball into his own net, adding insult to injury.

Moments later, Aguda made way for Seif Ali Hindi, a seamless swap as Falkenbergs kept pushing forward.

The icing on the cake came right at the death—Isaac Shears, barely five minutes into his cameo, coolly tucked away the fourth for a ruthless finish to a commanding display.

From the first whistle to the last, Falkenbergs looked sharper, hungrier, and more clinical. The end result was a statement 4–0 victory.

Aguda, currently in his 7th season at the club, will be looking to maximise his playing time this campaign, having registered 10 goals in 29 appearances last season.

Despite the emphatic win over Sandvikens, Falkenbergs remain 7th on the table with 29 points after 20 rounds of matches. Their next fixture will be against Varbergs BoIS on Saturday.

Idris Momoh Nets in Defeat for FK Suduva

Meanwhile, it was a different story for Idris Momoh in Lithuania’s A Lyga.

Despite finding the back of the net, victory was far from sight for his team, FK Suduva, in their away game against Siauliai.

The 21-year-old forward scored his third goal of the season after appearing in 19 games and contributing two assists. Yet, it all ended in a 2-1 defeat at the Siauliai Central Stadium.

While Idris Momoh made headlines with his late strike, his compatriot Henry Uzochukwu only featured for two minutes, coming on after all three goals had already been scored.

Momoh’s moment came in the 75th minute, after Nikita Komissarov and Gabrielius Micevicius had already put the home team two goals up—once in the 8th minute of the first half and again just two minutes into the second period.
