Nigerian youngster Tom Lucky delivered a stunning Man of the Match performance on Friday to help FK Suduva dismantle 10-man Dainava Alytus 3-0 in Lithuania’s A Lyga.
Fellow Nigerian Henry Uzochukwu also featured in the encounter before being substituted in the 84th minute, Footballrover reports.
However, all eyes remained on Tom Lucky, who showed maturity, pace, and precision beyond his years in a match that firmly announced his arrival.
Tom Lucky sparks title charge with classy display
The 19-year-old winger opened the scoring opportunity with a clinical assist in stoppage time of the first half and later bagged his first goal of the season in the 79th minute.
The match, played at Alytus Stadium, marked Tom Lucky’s breakthrough moment after 11 appearances and now one goal and one assist for the Marijampolė side.
FK Suduva’s dominance began just before halftime when Davor Rakic was sent off in the 43rd minute for a reckless challenge.
Tom Lucky wasted no time, setting up Frankline Tangiri’s opener moments later.
After the break, Suduva pressed on, with Lucky calmly slotting home their second, before Nauris Petkevičius completed the rout in stoppage time.
With three consecutive wins, Suduva remain unbeaten in their last six matches and now sit top of the table with 24 points from 12 games.
The team will next travel to face Dziugas Telsiai with growing confidence.
Wilfred George fires Kristiansund BK to big win in Norway
While Lucky stole headlines in Lithuania, 20-year-old Wilfred George made his mark in the Norwegian Eliteserien, scoring the decisive goal for Kristiansund BK in a gritty 1-0 away win over Malmo FK.
The defensive midfielder rifled in the lone goal of the match just 21 minutes into the clash at Aker Stadion, displaying his attacking instinct and poise.
It was a much-needed strike that pushed Kristiansund up to 5th on the league table with 13 points from nine matches—just seven adrift of early leaders Viking.
Wilfred George’s powerful presence in midfield and eye for goal continue to make him a crucial figure in Kristiansund’s campaign.
Both clubs will soon meet again in the Norwegian Cup Fourth Round, where George will be looking to impress once more.
