Nigerian forward Fred Onyedinma is in outstanding form in English League One, consistently delivering when it matters for Wycombe Wanderers.
He was on target again against Exeter, but this time his effort was not enough to secure all three points, Footballrover reports.
Fred Onyedinma extends League One scoring run
Onyedinma has been firing on all cylinders, and he appeared to have done enough after netting the decisive goal that gave the visitors a slender lead for much of the contest at St James Park.
However, Wycombe were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw after conceding deep into stoppage time.
The 29-year-old’s strike was his ninth of the season, taking his total goal contributions to 11, with two assists in 30 appearances.
In the Round 33 clash, the Nigerian attacker broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute after being set up by Ewan Henderson.
Wycombe carried that narrow advantage into the halftime break and maintained control for most of the second half.
St James Park heartbreak as late goal denies Wycombe
Just when victory seemed within reach, Jayden Wareham struck a minute into added time to deny the visitors and ensure the points were shared.
The result leaves Onyedinma and his teammates without a win in their last two matches, following a 3-2 defeat to Reading in their previous outing.
They remain 10th on the table with 44 points and will look to return to winning ways when they host Stevenage on Saturday.
