Akinade Onigbinde, the head coach of Doma United, has expressed dissatisfaction with the officiating during their NPFL game with Sunshine Stars and holds it responsible for his team’s loss.
Coach Akinade watched his side suffer a 2-0 loss against the Akure Gunners at the Ondo Sports Complex on Wednesday, Footballrover reports.
During the game, Isaac Emmanuel and Opeoluwa Olufemi scored for Sunshine Stars, securing their victory within the first half.
Barely 19 minutes into the match, Isaac gave the home team the lead. Olufemi then sealed the deal, giving his team all three points going into the halftime break.

The Savannah Tigers coach acknowledged shortly after the game that he wanted more severe penalties for officials who could not perform their jobs.
In an interview with the club’s media, Akinade stated that the Nigeria Referee Association should focus more on referees who have not performed their tasks to the best of their abilities.
“I’m not really pleased with the officiating of our match against Sunshine Stars,” he admitted
Coach Akinade Onigbinde, however, revealed that his Doma United side will also work on the lapses identified in the game going forward.
Meanwhile, the victory helped their hosts move up the NPFL ladder to 10th place with 21 points, while the Tigers still maintain their third spot after recording 28 points from 16 matches.
Their next fixture will be a home game, with Katsina United paying them a visit at the Township Stadium Pantami, while Sunshine Stars will be visiting Remo Stars in a Derby clash.
