Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers has received high praise from his manager, Barry Ferguson, following his match-winning performance in the Gers’ thrilling 4-3 comeback victory against Dundee.

The Nigerian forward’s relentless work ethic and determination stood out, earning him a glowing assessment from the head coach, Footballrover reports.

Ferguson lauded the Super Eagles star for his impressive commitment on the pitch, emphasising his ability to push himself to improve despite his experience.

The Rangers boss acknowledged that while the 30-year-old had some missed opportunities in the game, his perseverance ultimately led to the decisive goal.

“He is a brilliant worker; he is brilliant to work with. He is willing to try and improve his game even at his age, which I love to see,” Ferguson said as quoted by the club’s official website.

The Nigerian international had his fair share of challenges during the game, with Dundee’s goalkeeper pulling off some remarkable saves to deny him earlier.

However, his persistence paid off when he delivered the winning goal in stoppage time, sealing all three points for Rangers.

Dessers’ determination pays off for Rangers

Despite facing setbacks in front of goal, Dessers never lost focus. His ability to remain in the right attacking positions and maintain composure was a key factor in Rangers’ dramatic victory.

“One thing about the big man is he keeps going right until the end, and he got his reward with the winning goal,” the Rangers boss added.
