Rangers forward Cyriel Dessers has continued to silence his critics with yet another crucial performance, scoring his 4th consecutive goal to secure a 3-1 away victory over Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.

The Nigerian striker, who has been in remarkable form, played an important part in Rangers’ comeback after initially falling behind, Footballrover reports.

Dundee United took an early lead in the 19th minute through Sam Dalby, but Rangers responded swiftly with Mohammed Diomande levelling the score in the 36th minute.

Robin Propper then put the Gers ahead early in the second half before Dessers sealed the win with a clinical finish in the 86th minute.

This latest strike marks his fourth goal in as many matches as he continues to break the hearts of his doubters.

Dessers’ recent scoring spree includes his winning goal in a 3-0 victory over Aberdeen.

A hat trick in Rangers’ emphatic 5-0 Scottish Cup triumph over Fraserburgh and a spectacular goal against Manchester United in the Europa League, which was nominated for the Goal of the Day award.

Dessers’ impressive form puts pressure on league leaders

With his fourth straight goal, Dessers has now netted six times in his last four appearances, proving his critics wrong.

His contributions have been vital in keeping Rangers within touching distance of league leaders Celtic, who are currently 10 points ahead.

Meanwhile, Nigerian defender Leon Balogun was absent from the squad, while Diomande received a straight red card in stoppage time, reducing Rangers to 10 men in the final moments.

Rangers will now shift focus to their next fixture as they aim to close the gap at the top of the table, with Dessers expected to continue his fine run of form.
