Brentford have confirmed the signing of Kaye Furo from Club Brugge, completing a permanent move for the 18-year-old forward.

The deal was announced on the club’s official website and is subject to international clearance and a work permit, with the young attacker agreeing to a long-term contract with the Premier League side, Footballrover reports.

Furo arrives in west London as part of Brentford’s continued focus on recruiting young players with high potential.

The striker, who is the son of former Super Eagles centre-back Iyenemi Furo, has already gained experience at senior level despite his age.

Furo has featured in Belgium’s Pro League, the UEFA Champions League, and the Belgian Cup, performances that placed him on the radar of several clubs across Europe.

The Bees moved decisively to secure his signature, believing he can contribute now while developing further within their system.

Although Furo has represented Belgium at youth levels from under-15 to under-21, he remains eligible to play for Nigeria at senior level.

He has not yet earned a cap for Belgium’s senior national team, leaving the door open for a future call-up to the Super Eagles.

That possibility carries strong family ties. His father, Iyenemi Furo, was a key part of Nigeria’s squad at the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations, starting five matches during the tournament co-hosted by Nigeria and Ghana.

That background has helped shape Kaye’s growth as a modern forward with physical strength and technical quality.

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews believes the club has secured a player with significant upside.

“Kaye is someone we have tracked for a while that we are really excited about bringing to the club,” Andrews said.

His attributes are ones that I like and feel we can develop within the environment we have created. I have no doubt he will be a big player for us.”

With his move from Club Brugge now confirmed, Furo will begin the next stage of his career aiming to make his mark in England while keeping his international future firmly in focus.
