Super Eagles star Alex Iwobi has shared his thoughts on the crucial moment that led to his brilliant game-winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Leicester City yesterday.
The match, which marked his team’s first win of the season after a tough opening game of the season, was a significant breakthrough, and Iwobiās goal sealed the victory in dramatic fashion.
Alex Iwobi firmly believes that Fulham’s victory over Leicester City at Craven Cottage on Saturday was well-deserved.
Marco Silvaās side clinched a 2-1 win, with Iwobi scoring the decisive goal just 20 minutes from full-time.

Iwobi admitted that he was particularly driven to secure all three points after Fulham narrowly missed out on a result at Old Trafford on opening day.
Speaking to Fulham TV, he expressed pride in their performance against Manchester United but emphasised the importance of earning their first home win, which gave the team an incredible boost.
According to Iwobi, the key message was to start strong, and he believes they did just that, especially in the first 30 minutes, during which they dominated the game.
Despite the setback of conceding a goal from a set pieceāa situation they specifically train forāIwobi highlighted their resilience in holding out for the win.
He shared that at halftime, the manager urged them to keep up the intensity, which paid off with their second goal.
Reflecting on his winning goal, Iwobi revealed it was a move straight off the Motspur Park training ground.
He explained that when the right-back pressed Robinson (nicknamed “Jedi”), he had to make a quick decision, staying onside and seizing the opportunity when it came.
“I had so much timeāit felt like I was running forever. I was thinking, āShould I pass it?ā But then I thought, āIām in front of goal; might as well take the shot with my weaker foot,ā and luckily, it went in,” Iwobi said.
He acknowledged the importance of staying focused until the final whistle, especially with Leicester pushing forward and creating new threats.
Despite the pressure, Fulham held firm to claim the three points, setting them up well for a busy week ahead.
