Nigerian striker Akor Adams has praised the team spirit at Sevilla following his first La Liga goal, which helped the side secure a hard-fought victory over the weekend.
Adams came off the bench in the 69th minute and delivered the decisive strike in the 87th minute, sealing a 1-0 win for Matías Almeyda’s side, Footballrover reports.

The Nigerian forward’s late finish was Sevilla’s only shot on target, a moment that swung the match in their favour at the Campo de Fútbol de Vallecas.
Speaking to the club’s media shortly after the game, Adams said:
“Before I talk about myself, I think it was a great game from the team, with a strong fight and a good mentality.”
Reflecting on his decisive contribution, he noted:
“I had the opportunity to come on, I was prepared and working hard, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. We didn’t give up.”
According to Adams, the team’s strong mentality and the coach’s confidence drive the team unity and on-field performance.
“We have a top mentality in the group. The coach has confidence in what we can do, and it shows in the games,” Adams added,
