Ezekiel Tamara was delighted to make his Kwara United debut against Shooting Stars on Thursday in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL).
In Matchday Two of the NPFL league, Shooting Stars forced Kwara United to a barren draw in Ibadan, and Ezekiel revealed that he was glad to help his club come away with a point.
At the Lekan Salami Stadium, Kwara United FC put in a respectable performance to hold off Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan to a draw game.
Kwara United gave their all during the game, which was their first away match of the season with their new man – Ezekiel Tamara playing a huge part in the midfield.
They came into this game seeking for their first victory of the season after being forced to a goalless draw as well against Gombe United during their Matchday One clash.
On the other end, Kwara United’s goalkeeper Adewale Adeyinka deserves praise for denying the home team from finding back of the net in three different one-on-one scenarios.
Nearly 10,000 spectators were watching when the 22-year-old took charge of the midfield for Kwara United, and he confessed it was an experience he will never forget.
“Domestic League debut for Kwara United. Happy to help my team come away with a point in Ibadan. Buzzing the Midfield with almost 10,000 fans watching. An experience I will never forget.” – he wrote on his twitter page.
