Coach Abdulazeez’s future as the coach of Kwara United was in jeopardy as The Afonja Warriors are presently ranked ninth in Group A’s league standings, 12 points behind the league’s leaders, Bendel Insurance.

Unfortunately, the Harmony Boys and Coach Abdulazeez parted ways on Saturday after suffering yet another setback against Nasarawa United in NPFL Matchday 7.

Coach Abdulazeez was still in charge of Kwara United when they were crushed 2-0 by their relegation battling counterparts – the Solid Miners at the New Jos Township Stadium.

Following the coach’s departure, Ezekiel Tamara took to his Twitter page to drop a heartfelt tribute to him and his staff.

Sorry it didn’t work out, but It was a pleasure to learn and work with you and your staff. Thank you, Boss. Good luck in future endeavors.” – he wrote.

Meanwhile, Kabir Sulaiman Dogo has already been installed as his successor, signing an undisclosed contract deal following his departure from Wikki Tourist.

Ezekiel Tamara will undoubtedly love to feature in coach Dogo’s debut game at home against Remo Stars on Wednesday evening in order to assist the new coach walk him and his team mates through the relegation struggle.
