Super Eagles prospect Hilary Gong has maintained his impressive form this season, delivering a Man of the Match performance with a goal and an assist in Spartak Trnava’s comfortable home win over MFK Zemplín Michalovce in the Slovakia Super Liga.

The Nigerian forward set up the second goal before adding his name to the scoresheet to wrap up a convincing 3–0 victory at the City Arena Trnava, Footballrover reports.

Hilary Gong shines with goal and assist

The 27-year-old has now scored in three consecutive matches for Spartak Trnava, recording five goal involvements in that run—four goals and one assist.

His latest strike also marked his fifth league goal of the season, achieved in just his fifth start.

With three assists in the league and two additional goals in the Slovakia Cup, Gong’s total goal contributions now stand at 10 in 20 appearances across all competitions.

Spartak Trnava made a strong start, with Luka Khorkheli opening the scoring inside the first 10 minutes.

He doubled the lead just five minutes later, putting the hosts firmly in control.

Gong leads Spartak Trnava’s unbeaten run

Gong then sealed the result around the half-hour mark, ensuring all three points for his side and extending their unbeaten run to three matches, with two wins and a draw.

However, he could only feature for 72 minutes before being replaced by Stefan Škrbo.

With confidence high, Gong and his teammates will now turn their attention to their next fixture against Dunajská Streda on Wednesday, aiming to extend their unbeaten streak further.

With the 2026 Unity Cup and upcoming friendly matches against Poland and Portugal on the horizon, the in-form winger will be hoping to earn a place in Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles squad.
