Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi delivered another standout performance on Thursday night, scoring to inspire Viktoria Plzeň to a commanding 3-0 victory over Malmö FF in their UEFA Europa League clash.
The 22-year-old Super Eagles prospect struck his second Europa League goal of the season, having also netted against Ferencváros in the opening fixture, Footballrover reports.
Rafiu Durosinmi’s Europa League Scoring Streak Shines Again
He now boasts eight goals across all competitions this season, underlining his impressive form in Europe.
In a dramatic Round 2 encounter featuring two red cards, Durosinmi reacted quickest to a rebound just before half-time to double Plzeň’s lead, five minutes after Malmö’s Lasse Berg Johnsen was sent off.
Plzeň Strengthen Europa League Qualification Hopes
Matěj Vydra had opened the scoring, while Karel Špacíl sealed the win with a late third.
Plzeň’s own man disadvantage came when Merchas Dõski saw red, but by then the hosts were in full control.
The victory moves Plzeň to four points in Group D, strengthening their qualification hopes, while Malmö remain rooted to the bottom.
