On Wednesday evening, Sudan forward Abdel Raouf Yagoub delivered both goals and stinging words after dismantling the CHAN Eagles 4-0 in their 2024 African Nations Championship clash.

The Falcons didn’t just win—they exposed Nigeria’s flaws in front of the Amman Stadium crowd in Zanzibar, Footballrover reports.
Sudan Forward Exposes CHAN Eagles’ Weakness
Kwesi Appiah’s Sudan side started strong and never let go. In the 25th minute, Yagoub’s shot deflected off Leonard Ngenege for the opener.

Just before halftime, Walieldin Khdir coolly converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-0.
The second half was all Yagoub. The Sudan star struck twice, sealing a humiliating defeat for the CHAN Eagles and completing the rout.
“They are very slow on the ball and their recovery rate is very poor — that’s what we capitalised on,” Yagoub said after the game.

Brutal Verdict and Tactical Execution
Yagoub didn’t hold back in his post-match analysis.
“Their defence made a lot of mistakes, their strikers are slow, and when our coach said all we needed was quick contact play and to get the ball into the 18, we executed it perfectly,” he added.

With this emphatic win, the Falcons now sit on top of Group D with four points from three games.
Their last group fixture is against defending champions Senegal, where a draw will be enough to secure a quarter-final spot.
