Super Falcons stars Ashleigh Plumptre and Francisca Ordega continued their impressive form in the Saudi Women’s Premier League, powering Al Ittihad Ladies to a dominant 6-0 win over Eastern Flames on Friday evening.
Plumptre was more than sensational in this game, netting a late brace and providing two key assists, while Ordega got in on the action with a composed strike to cap off a thrilling display at the Prince Fahad bin Salman Stadium, Footballrover reports.
Ashleigh Plumptre delivers brilliance for the Saudi ladies
In the final stretch of the league on matchday 18, the Falcons pair took complete control of the game’s final quarter.
After goals from Lili Iskandar in the 31st minute and Fatimah Mansour in the 38th gave Al Ittihad a 2-0 lead at the break, the second half became the Plumptre-Ordega show.
Leighanne Robe added a third in the 75th minute, assisted brilliantly by Plumptre.
Then came the flurry—Ordega made it 4-0 in the 82nd minute before Plumptre wrapped up the rout with two late goals in the 86th and 93rd minutes.
She also created the chance for the fourth goal for Ordega, completing a world-class performance.
Francisca Ordega’s goal caps another Super Falcons statement win
The win pushes Al Ittihad Ladies out of the relegation zone and up to 7th on the 10-team table with 25 points.
The team has now gone three games unbeaten, with two wins and a draw—an impressive recovery after a tough stretch of the season.
With just eight wins from 18 matches, every victory counts, and this latest victory—with the help of two in-form Nigerian players—was a major statement of intent.
From their attacking flair to decisive finishing, Plumptre and the former CSKA Moscow star Francisca Ordega continue to prove why they’re invaluable to both the Nigerian Falcons and Al Ittihad Ladies.
