Granada CF forward Edna Imade is set to make a life-changing move in her career as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have activated her release clause, according to Marca journalist David Menayo.
The 15 Liga F goal star will join the German champions on a four-year deal, with a possible loan option back to Spain for the 2025/26 season still under discussion, Footballrover reports.
Bayern Munich secure Liga F goal machine
The 24-year-old, one of the breakout stars of the current campaign, has scored 15 goals in Liga F so far with one assist—ranking second only to Poland’s Ewa Pajor in the race for the Golden Boot.
Her red-hot form has made her one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe.
Edna Imade attracted offers from top leagues in the United States, England, France, Italy, and China, but it was Bayern Munich’s vision—fresh off their Bundesliga and Cup double—that convinced her to make the switch.
This move will mark her first experience outside Spain, where she has grown into one of the F League’s most dangerous attacking threats.
Her power, pace, and eye for goal have made her a fan favourite and a rising star among Nigerian talents eligible for the Super Falcons.
Edna Imade’s next chapter is set to begin
The announcement of her move was carefully timed.
It came only after Granada’s slim hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Women’s Champions League were dashed by a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid—a match in which Edna Imade delivered her 18th goal contribution of the season.
While the possibility of a loan remains, her departure signals a turning point in her career. With Bayern, she now steps onto one of Europe’s grandest stages.
