Leon Balogun wrapped up the scoring for Rangers in their first leg win over Crvena Zvezda in the Europa League on Thursday night.

Thanks to Big Leon’s goals, Rangers will be heading into the second leg with a three-goal advantage over Red Star Belgrade.

With his defensive and attacking efforts, the 33-year-old earned man of the match performance as the Gers secured a vital home victory.

The Super Eagles defender grabbed his second UEFA Europa League goal of the season with a header in a stunning 3-0 victory over Red Star Belgrade.

Following the first half goals from Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos, the centre-back met Tavernier’s corner-kick with a powerful header in the 51st minute, giving the Scottish giants a significant first-leg lead.

With his first goal coming against Brondby in October, Balogun now has two goals in six Europa League appearances.

For Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, the defender was a strong pillar in the back, and his performances led to a clean sheet.

Joe Aribo and Calvin Bassey also featured in the game, but only Aribo was replaced by Sakala in the 75th minute.
