The Super Eagles of Nigeria have learnt their fate for the next Africa Cup of Nations, after the 2025 Afcon full draw was revealed on Monday in Rabat, Morocco.
Nigeria has been placed in a challenging Group C, alongside 2019 semi-finalists Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania, Footballrover reports.
As the tournament approaches, all eyes will be on the Super Eagles to see if they can rise to the occasion.
Super Eagles’ road to the 2025 AFCON
Nigeria secured their spot in the competition by topping Group D in the qualifiers with an impressive 11 points out of 18.
The Super Eagles are no strangers to the Africa Cup of Nations, having participated in 21 editions and won the prestigious title three times.
Their most recent triumph came in 2013 under the late Stephen Keshi.
Can Eric Chelle lead the Super Eagles to glory?
Under the guidance of newly appointed coach Eric Chelle, the Eagles will be looking to continue their quest for AFCON success.
Chelle will seek to join the ranks of Otto Glória and Clemens Westerhof as the third foreign coach to lead Nigeria to AFCON glory.
The 2025 AFCON tournament will kick off on December 21, 2025, and will conclude on January 18, 2026.
