Rivers United will be hosting Wikki Tourists of Makurdi in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match on Saturday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
The Port Harcourt team, who lost their first game of the season against Plateau United on Match Day 11, would be hoping to get back on track.
Austin Festus, the captain of the team, told Tidesports yesterday that the encounter against Wikki Tourists will be a tough one.
The team is unhappy, according to the player, after losing to Plateau United away from home last week, and their aim this season was to win every match that came their way.

“It would be a challenging encounter to play against Wikki Tourists. We just lost an away match to Plateau United, and we, the players, are disappointed because we know what we need to achieve this season,” he said.
He added;
“We aim not to lose another match again for us to win the league, but we were very unfortunate that we lost away against Plateau United. We’re going all out to get the maximum three points possible. Our sole goal as footballers is to please our supporters in whatever match that comes our way.”
The captain highlighted that Rivers is fortunate to have a strong technical team, which is one of the reasons why the club has been able to acquire continental tickets for the past three seasons.
He also said that Fatai Osho’s addition to the technical crew has helped the side.
