Despite struggling in physical battles and losing a match-high 11 duels, Sadiq made his moment count with a well-timed header to ensure his side did not leave empty-handed.

The Round 33 clash saw the 29-year-old Nigerian score his second La Liga goal of the season.

His overall contribution now stands at six—two goals and two assists in the league, plus two goals in the Copa del Rey.

In a tense La Liga encounter, the result leaves both teams still locked in the relegation battle as the season edges closer to its conclusion.

Sadiq and Valencia Fight hard in La Liga

Mallorca started brightly, controlling the first half through the creativity of Sergi Darder and the attacking threat of Vedat Muriqi.

The visitors struggled to create chances and failed to register a shot on target before the break.

The hosts eventually took the lead early in the second half when Samú Costa headed in Darder’s cross in the 49th minute.

However, Mallorca could not build on that momentum. Valencia goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski produced key saves to deny Jan Virgili and Muriqi, keeping his team within reach.

Valencia’s persistence paid off late on, as substitutes Luis Rioja and Javi Guerra combined to set up Sadiq, who powered home a header to level the score.

In the end, both sides had to settle for a point. Sadiq and his teammates remain 13th, just one point above 14th-placed Mallorca, with six matches left in the 2025/26 La Liga season.

Mallorca, meanwhile, sit only three points above the relegation zone.
