The 22-year-old midfielder opened the scoring in the first half, pouncing on a loose ball at the edge of the area after a blocked shot from Mikey Moore just 35 minutes into the game.

The strike marks Chukwuani’s second goal since joining the club in the winter transfer window, as he was in action for just 81 minutes before Connor Barron took his place.

Moore doubled the lead after halftime before Aberdeen’s Dennis Geiger pulled one back. However, goals from Nicolas Raskin and James Tavernier ensured a comfortable victory for the hosts.

Since his arrival, Chukwuani has become a vital fixture in the Rangers midfield, praised for his tactical awareness and composure as the club chases the league title.

Although the Danish-born talent has represented Denmark at various youth levels, he remains fully eligible to represent Nigeria’s Super Eagles, having never featured for the Danish senior side.

Meanwhile, in the Polish Ekstraklasa, it was a classic case of mixed feelings for Nigerian forward Paul Mukairu.

Although he found the back of the net, he couldn’t prevent his side, Pogoń Szczecin, from falling to a narrow 2–1 away defeat against Lechia Gdańsk.

Mukairu scored a first-half equaliser to pull his team back into the contest at the Polsat Plus Arena, only for the visitors to ultimately succumb to defeat.

The Round 26 clash saw the 26-year-old lose the most duels in the match (10), yet he still managed to deliver his sixth goal of the season in just his 13th start.

Bujar Pllana initially handed the hosts the lead just 11 minutes into the encounter before Mukairu restored parity for the visitors 26 minutes later.

While both sides went into the break level, Tomasz Neugebauer struck the decisive blow just nine minutes into the second half, and that result was enough to see Mukairu and his teammates slide down to 12th in the table with 34 points.
